On 3 July 2013, the seventh anniversary of the disappearance of Piermario Ciani, the piece "Ancora Icone" was played by different people in several locations around the world. The players recorded the event while playing.
Each recording captured, along with the original piece, the sound environments surrounding each location.
This mix was composed assembling these recordings to create, for the listener, a musical journey around the world (in order in the mix):
ITALY, Bertiolo - Municipal Cemetery, next to the grave of Piermario Ciani
AUSTRIA, Vienna - inside one of the city water towers
INDIA, Allepuzha - city traffic
CHILE, Santiago - fish market
SOUTH AFRICA - krugerwateringhole
TIBET - Lhasa, in front of the Jokhang Temple
AUSTRALIA, Fraser range - salt lake
